Overview
Established in July 1954 as a municipal enterprise pursuant to the Federal Power Commission Order of December 11, 1953, the goal is to provide natural gas service to Fountain Inn and Simpsonville residents, area businesses and industries.

As a municipal enterprise, the Fountain Inn Natural Gas System has flourished and today serves over 9,950 residential, commercial and industrial customers. The system includes approximately 332 miles of natural gas pipeline.
We currently serve the cities of Fountain Inn and Simpsonville, as well as parts of Greenville and Laurens Counties.
All corporate control of the utility is vested in the city's seven-member Council, which meets monthly.
