  • A Victim Advocate's job is to ensure that every victim and witness of a criminal offense that occurs within the City of Fountain Inn is provided their constitutional rights as established by SC legislation S.616, known as the "Victim's Bill of Rights."  Types of criminal offences that our Victim Advocate can help with include the following:

  • How a Victim Advocate Can Help

       • Provide emotional and moral support

       • Identify and inform victims of their rights under the law

       • Conduct on the scene crisis intervention

       • Act as a liaison between victim, police officers, investigators, and community-based agencies

       • Arrange for professional counseling and support groups

       • Provide information and referral

       • Educate law enforcement and victims of a new law about specific victimization such as domestic violence   

       • Provide applications and information to victims concerning South Carolina Crime Victims' Compensation; explain purpose, procedures, and policies, and assist in the completion of forms

       • Intervene on behalf of victims with creditors or employers upon request

       • Help prepare victims for court and provide court advocacy and accompaniment

       • Provide information regarding the current status of the case

       • Provide information on rights, services, and procedures if a victim or witness is harassed or threatened

  • Natural Gas is colorless and odorless. A distinctive odor resembling rotten eggs is added so that you can smell the gas immediately should a leak occur. If you think you smell gas, please call FING immediately at 864-862-0042, the visit is free of charge.

  • New-service applicants or previous customers who are applying for service again must pay a $50 non-refundable service application fee. Based on a satisfactory credit score from ONLINE UTILITY EXCHANGE, new-service applicants or previous customers who pose no credit risk will not be charged a deposit. If an existing Fountain Inn Natural Gas customer is moving into another location and requests gas service there, no deposit will be required with excellent credit status.

  • All residential and small commercial accounts are due the last day of each month. Large commercial and industrial accounts are due the 20th of each month.

  • We bury the lines approximately 18 inches deep. Make sure to call 811 before you dig.

  • You need to call SC811, at least 3 full business days prior to any excavation. The number is 811. This service is provided free and required by law.

  • This is a tracer wire that enables us to locate the route of the service line from the meter back to the gas main. Please do not tamper with this wire or attach it to anything.
